Welcome to Nenga
Nenga started with a simple idea: to create well-made, useful pieces inspired by the South African coast. What began as a love for the sea has grown into a small local brand that values comfort, craftmanship, and connection.
We are a coastal lifestyle brand inspired by slow living, salt water, and simplicity. Our products are designed for life by the water, pieces which are easy to use and durable. Each piece is made with care by local women in Gqeberha, supporting small-scale craft and coastal livelihoods.
Nenga also exists to support access to the ocean for those who have been kept at a distance from it. Through the Iminenga Water Awareness Foundation, 10% of all profits help township children learn to swim and build confidence in the water. It's a first step toward something bigger, creating safer, more inclusive spaces around our shared coastline.
As Nenga grows, so will our impact. The goal is simple: to build a business that reflects our coast, supports local people, and contributes to marine conservation in South Africa.
